For International Doctors preparing to practise in Aotearoa New Zealand

Moving to a new country and healthcare system is an exciting step, but it can also involve navigating unfamiliar systems, professional expectations and cultural contexts.

The Learning Hub has been designed to support international doctors as they prepare to begin practising medicine in New Zealand.

Through a structured learning pathway, the platform introduces key aspects of living and working in Aotearoa New Zealand. This includes practical information about settling into life in New Zealand, understanding how the health system operates, and becoming familiar with the clinical and cultural frameworks that guide healthcare practice.

The learning is designed to complement the orientation and onboarding provided by your clinic, helping you feel more informed and confident as you transition into practice.

Many doctors access the Learning Hub through their employer or as part of their transition into a new role in New Zealand.
